Why every AI agent we build starts in shadow mode
Before an agent takes live work, it runs alongside your team. Here is what shadow mode is, and why we never skip it.

An AI agent is software that can decide and act, not just reply. It reads your knowledge, makes a plan, and takes real actions: querying databases, triggering workflows, drafting emails, updating your CRM. That is exactly why it has to earn trust before it touches live work.
The four steps to live
Every agent we build follows the same path:
- Knowledge: we index your procedures, past tickets and documentation securely.
- Tools: we connect the agent to your CRM, ERP and APIs, with strict permissions.
- Shadow mode: the agent runs alongside your team to prove its accuracy.
- Live: the agent takes real work, with monitored guardrails.
What shadow mode means
In shadow mode the agent sees the same requests your team does and works out what it would do, but people still make the call. Its answers can be compared with what your team actually did, case by case, before it is trusted to act on its own.
This is where problems surface safely: a policy the agent misread, a tool it reached for too early, a question it should have passed on. Each one is fixed before a customer could ever see it.
An agent should prove itself on your real work before it does any of it alone.
What stays in place after launch
- Human escalation: when the agent's confidence drops, the case goes to a person with full context.
- Strict permissions: it can only reach the systems its role needs.
- Monitoring: we keep watching the numbers it was built to move.
- Your data stays yours: it is never used to train public models, and personal data is removed before any request leaves your environment.
